Driver and Component Stats
Drivers and Components are equipped when participating in a race. The Drivers and Components you equip are down to you and your race strategy!
For races, you will equip two Drivers and six Components. The current Season Component categories are:
Brakes
Gearbox
Rear Wing
Front Wing
Suspension
Engine
Each Driver or Component will have a rarity assigned to them. There are three Core Rarities of Drivers and Components:
Common
Rare
Epic
Each Common, Rare and Epic Driver and Component will also have an unlock Series. Once a Series is unlocked through progression in Duels, Drivers and Components with this unlock Series will begin to be included in Crate drop rates, meaning you will start having the chance of earning these.
The higher the Rarity and unlock Series, the higher the overall performance and stats of the Driver or Component!

Driver and Component performance is broken down into various stats. Drivers and Components may have specific stats they are stronger in compared to others.
The five Driver stats are:
Overtaking: Increases the chance of overtaking opportunities and successful overtakes
Defending: Increases the chance of successfully defending against other cars attempting to overtake
Qualifying: Improves the performance of your Driver during the initial qualifying lap determining your starting position
Tyre Management: Reduces rate of tyre wear during a race
Race Start: Determines your start to the race. A higher race still has an increased chance of increased overtaking and defending performance for the first lap.
The six Component stats are:
Speed: Boosts your car’s acceleration and top speed, helping you overtake and defend against opponents on straights
Cornering: Improves cornering speed, helping you overtake and defend against opponents in corners.
Power Unit: Improves the recharge rate of your Power Unit bar
Qualifying: Improves the performance of your Driver during the initial qualifying lap determining your starting position
Average Pit Stop Time: Indicates the average duration of your pit stop
DRS: Available on only certain components to provide an increase to a car’s speed and overtaking performance when DRS is active.
Your equipped Drivers and Components stats are totalled together to give you a total Team Score. Your Team Score is used to match you against opponents during races within a suitable range.
If you find you are struggling in certain areas when racing or compared to your rivals, review your loadout to tailor your equipped Drivers or Components to increase those stats!
Track Stats
When preparing for your race, it’s important to take into account a circuit’s assigned Track Stats.
All circuits will have two track stats assigned to them, one Driver stat and one Component stat.
Track Stats will have an extra powerful impact for that specific track. Tailor your equipped Drivers and Components to focus on increasing these stats to enhance your performance during the race!
For Duels, all circuits featured within a particular Series will share one Track Stat. As an example; in the screenshot of the Series below, the ‘Speed’ Track Stat is featured across all four circuits within the Series. You may want to try tailoring your loadout by equipping Components with high Speed stat as a race strategy for this Series.

Tyre Management & Pit Stop Strategy
While stats are important, these alone will not determine the outcome of a race. The decisions you make for your in-race strategy are also key!
After the Qualifying lap and before a race begins, you can select your starting race tyre. There are four types of tyre compounds available to choose from.
Soft tyres are faster, but wear quicker. Hards are slower, but will last longer. Mediums are a combination of the two, their speed and duration between Soft and Hard. Wet tyres are best used in wet weather conditions, as the circuit becomes increasingly wet, the higher the wet tyre performance will be but will negatively impact your performance in drier conditions. Similarly using a dry compound tyre in wet track conditions will not perform as well either.
The average lap duration of each tyre compound is unique for each circuit and the weather conditions and will be displayed when selecting your starting tyre for the race.
During the race you will need to monitor your tyre wear. If this reaches 0%, your car will begin to lose performance; decrease speed, swerve off the racing line and possibly lose positions.
To avoid this, Pit Stops can be taken to equip new tyres. The time taken when pitting is based on your equipped Component’s combined Average Pit Stop Time stat.
This stat indicates how long each Pit Stop will take on average. The higher the stat, the quicker the stop. Remember this is just an average, your real Pit Stop time can be slightly lower or above this.
Tip: Your Pit Crew can only work on one car at a time. Try not to pit both cars at the same time to reduce unnecessary delays in the pit lane.
You can pit as many times as you want and equip any of the tyre compounds during a race. Try out different strategies to see what works best for each circuit!
Engine Modes and Power Unit
There are three different engine modes you can switch between for each individual driver during a race:
Fast engine mode (Red): Increases your Driver’s Overtaking and Defending stats and your Components Speed and Cornering stats, resulting in faster lap times and increased chances at successful overtaking and defending opportunities, however it also increases tyre wear.
Neutral engine mode (Yellow): The middle ground between engine modes for both speed and tyre wear.
Power-save engine mode (light blue): Decreases your Driver’s Overtaking and Defending stats and your Components Speed and Cornering stats, resulting in slower lap times and decreased chances at successful overtaking and defending opportunities, however decreases the speed of tyre wear.
The faster your engine mode, the quicker your tyre wear will decline. Try to balance these carefully!
When switching between engine modes it’s also worth keeping an eye on your Power Unit bar. This refers to how much power your car has.
Using the fast engine mode will deplete your Power Unit. Once this reaches 0%, you will have used up all your power and no longer be able to use the fast engine mode until this regenerates to at least 5%.
The Power Unit can be regenerated in two ways:
Neutral engine mode: the Power Unit bar will regenerate at a moderate rate
Power-save engine mode: the Power Unit bar will regenerate at an increasing rate
Switch between engine modes depending on your tyre wear and Power Unit bar to optimise your performance on track!
Boosts
After the Qualifying lap when selecting your starting tyre compound for the race, you can also equip your Drivers with Boosts.
Boosts enhance your Driver and Component stats during the race. Each Boost is unique and will increase a number of specific stat areas.
Select a Boost on your Boost inventory screen to view which stats it improves and the amount it increases them by when equipped.
You can equip the same or different Boosts for each Driver. The Boost selection screen is sectioned under two categories:
Recommended Boosts: Boost in your current inventory that are most recommended to enhance your performance for the specific circuit you are about to race on
All Boosts: The rest of the Boosts in your inventory
Once equipped, one Boost is consumed at the start of the race with an additional Boost consumed for every Pit Stop completed by that Driver. If one of your Drivers takes two Pit Stops during a race, a total of three Boosts will be used for that Driver.
Your entire Boost inventory can be found on the loadout screen by tapping the ‘Boosts’ button. Here you also have the option to favourite certain Boosts. Favourited Boosts will display at the top of the ‘recommended’ or ‘all’ Boost categories.
Boosts are an optional addition and not required to race. Boosts can be earned in various reward sources including Pit Pass, watching advertisements and more!
