We’ve been listening closely to community feedback, and one of the things you’ve told us loud and clear is that opponent hand selection could be clearer, more informative, and more intuitive. So we went back to the drawing board and redesigned the experience to give you the tools you need to make smarter decisions no matter your skill level.

The result? A completely refreshed UI that puts all the key info right where you need it.

Built for Clarity, Built for Strategy

We know the thrill of Top Drives comes from the choices you make before the race begins. But sometimes, track and opponent details weren’t easy to interpret at a glance. With this update, that changes.

Here’s how we’ve made things clearer for everyone:

Tracks, Reimagined

• Track Outlines - Every track now has its own outline, drawn directly from in-game data, so you instantly know what kind of challenge awaits.

• Track Art - With new artwork for all 34 track locations, the race location is now much easier to recognise.

  

• Surface & Hazard Icons - A brand-new set of icons shows exactly what surfaces and conditions you’ll be racing on from tarmac to snow, dry to rainy.

  

• Surface Percentages - Each challenge now shows how much of it is made up of a specific surface, helping you pick the right cars for the job.

A Cleaner, Player-Focused UI for Hand Selection

• A refreshed layout that highlights open vs. completed tracks.

• A consistent grey top bar and new background for a sleek look.

• An updated and more identifiable Hand Reset button to quickly re-think your lineup.

• Clear “VS” labels so there’s no mistaking which car you're up against.

  

  

  

Beyond Hand Selection

This update doesn’t stop at the opponent screen - we’ve carried these improvements across other areas of the game for a more consistent experience:

• Opponent Hand Track Preview - Already part of Campaigns, now extended to Championships and Challenges (minus autofill).

  

• Revamped Match Info - In Events and Clubs, you’ll now see the same track art, outlines, and icons when you tap Match Info.

  

• Upgraded Matchmaking - Opponent matchmaking screens in Events and Clubs have been refreshed with the new visuals too.

  

• Upgraded Campaign Panels - We’ve also refreshed the Campaign panels to match the new look and feel. Track previews now feature outlines, surface icons, and clear artwork, making it much easier to see exactly what lies ahead in each challenge. Whether you’re progressing through early chapters or revisiting old stages, these updates give campaigns a cleaner, more consistent style and help you plan the perfect hand with confidence.
