NASCAR® Manager - Update 9.0

Posted on

v38.04

NASCAR Manager update 9.0 is now rolling out to players and contains various gameplay changes along with a variety of bug fixes. Full details below:

Fuel Remaining Displays Differently to the User

The underlying calculation is completely the same as before, but the Laps remaining estimator now takes your driver's aggression mode into account when displaying your laps remaining. This should allow you to better understand how much room you have to push a driver before a pitstop, or how much fuel you need to save to make the end of a lap.

Tire Consumption Adjustments

In aggressive mode, Tire use is increased by a factor of about 1/3rd. You will now need to watch your tires a little more closely compared to before, as we had received feedback that Tire Management was an underpowered stat.

Fuel Management Rebalancing

The drivers with the most extremely high Fuel Management have had their Fuel management stat reduced by a factor of about 20%.
Drivers with the worst Fuel Management have seen their fuel management rise also. The effect is that the overall range of Fuel Management points possible is closer together for the entire field, helping to reduce its previously overwhelming importance to race strategy

Fuel Management Buff

Previously during Race Weekends, players had noted that there were occasions where it appeared that a Driver who was buffed for the Race Weekend would have worse fuel management performance than an un-buffed counterpart that they should have been better than. We have gotten this under control.

Track Allocation for Race Weekends

Previously under-represented tracks in Race Weekends should start showing up a little more often.

NASCAR Pass Adjustments

Some battle passes, particularly the ones that are NASCAR Team branded, will give out more Drivers in the premium track. That means the pass is overall more generous and should help speed up your path to upgrading these drivers.

Unlocked Club Divisions

The previously locked Club Divisions have been opened up. In the coming tournaments, Clubs will be able to advance to higher brackets.

Boost Selection Screen Improvements

Following community feedback, track logos have now been added to the pre-race boost selection screen.

Bug Fixes/Changes

  • Fix for an issue where notifications would fail to appear.

  • Fix for an issue where the notification On/Off toggle would not be visible at the OS level.

  • Fix for an issue where driver stat buffs for events would not work as intended.

  • Fix for an issue where the game could freeze when the low balance popup appears when trying to purchase from the store with an insufficient balance.
