30.0

Welcome to MINISTRY OF RACING: CROWN PURSUIT PART 1!

Top Drives goes high octane!

A joint CIA and MI6 operation is closing in on The System, a global criminal organisation wanted for Grand Theft Auto and international car smuggling.

An illegal auction of stolen police cars is underway in London. You’re the perfect candidate to infiltrate it and bring the operation to a halt.

But something goes wrong. The criminals are warned they’re being watched and make a break for it, igniting a city-wide chase. With the help of CIA Agent Steel and MI6 Agent Edwards, it’s up to you to catch as many as you can.

And what about the stolen police cars left behind? The System won’t abandon their assets so easily…

Top Drives Update 30.0: New Cars & RQ Changes

Let’s lift the curtain on some of the standout vehicles being deployed in Top Drives Update 30.0 – MINISTRY OF RACING: CROWN PURSUIT PART 1, as the chase intensifies and Britain’s finest machines enter the field.

Aston Martin Valkyrie 2021

Car makers love to talk about how Formula One tech makes it into real road cars, but it’s much rarer for a brand to build a car in collaboration with an actual F1 team, let alone one of the most famous names in the engineering side of the sport: Adrian Newey.

The project came to light under the AM-RB 001 name, hinting at Aston Martin’s collaboration with Red Bull, but the final model ended up being given a more appropriate name: Valkyrie. Unlike many supercars or hypercars, the Valkyrie is designed more like a race car than a road car, with ground-effect aerodynamics and proper downforce at speed, along with an 11,000rpm V12 engine from Cosworth and a KERS hybrid setup similar to the one found in Formula One cars.

Bentley Blue Train Speed Six 1930

It’s one thing to buy a car that’s a rare, low-production model but another thing entirely to find a car that has a legendary story attached to it. The Blue Train Speed Six is one of these truly iconic cars: it’s not just a rare model but a single car that has a brilliant history behind it.

Here’s how it goes: in 1930, then-Bentley Chairman Woolf Barnato made a bet that he could beat the famous express-line “Blue Train” (Le Train Bleu) back from the Carlton Hotel in Cannes to the Royal Automobile Club in London in his Speed Six. Not only did the Bentley make it back to London before the train, despite some setbacks, when Barnato arrived at his destination the train hadn’t even arrived at Calais yet. By the time passengers arrived in London’s Victoria station, the Blue Train Speed Six had become a motoring legend.

Jaguar E-Type Lightweight Continuation 2014

In 1963 Jaguar embarked upon its 'Special GT E‑Type' project, a run of 18 ‘Lightweight’ E‑Types built using aluminium.

These special models became iconic in the decades following, known as the best-looking and best-driving examples of Jaguar’s best-known sports car. Yet only 12 of the planned 18 models were actually built, leaving the door open for Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations to finish the production run in 2014 with six more “continuation” models.

These were built with modern tools and techniques but used authentic materials and designs to keep the cars eligible for racing in FIA classic car series. The new cars use the original chassis numbers reserved for those six cars that were never made in-period, despite being produced 50 years later.

Land Rover Defender 130 D350 2024

Most car fans have heard of the Land Rover Defender 90 and 110 models, but some of you might not realise that there’s also a 130 version that’s even bigger. It actually uses the same wheelbase as the 110 version, but thanks to extra bodywork at the rear, there are more seats inside and a huge amount of extra space.

It’s the Defender for people who really need that extra practicality, at the expense of looks - that looooong side profile does have a whiff of “tacked on” about it.

We still love the Defender for the fact that it combines a big, powerful engine and luxury interior with genuine off-road ability - not to mention that there’s something even more appealing about the fact you could easily sleep in the back of the 130 when camping, or chuck in several muddy dogs or mountain bikes.

Bug fixes

- We’ve fixed a ladder issue where some opponents appeared broken. Now, a pop-up will notify you of the problem instead of crashing the game.

- Fixed an issue where prize cars could be double/triple counted in the achievement track for Historical and Unique ownership of them.

- Fixed an issue where only one card is added to the holding pool when claimed as a prize in a reward level that gives 2 cards as prizes. Rebooting would result in the “missing“ car being added to the player holding pool.
